Millat Group of Industries, whose flagship company is Millat Tractors Limited, is set to enter Pakistan’s electric two-wheeler market with the launch of a new range of electric bikes and scooters next month.
According to Mr. Murad Ansari, Director, Millat Group of Industries, the company’s dedicated EV production facility is ready, with commercial production and preparations for the launch now underway. Millat’s electric two-wheelers will focus on quality, reliability, long-lasting batteries and competitive pricing, offering options for consumers across all strata of Pakistani society.
The new range will also include models equipped with swappable battery technology, providing customers with greater convenience and flexibility.
A major part of Millat’s strategy is rapid localization. Drawing on its decades of experience in local tractor manufacturing, the company plans to progressively localize components, spare parts and after-sales support for its electric bikes and scooters. This will help ensure the availability of spare parts and local service while reducing dependence on imports and minimizing potential supply-chain disruptions.
To support its customers, Millat is establishing a dedicated EV dealership network across Pakistan. In addition, the company plans to leverage the extensive infrastructure of Millat Tractors, including its more than 700 dealerships and workshops across the country, to strengthen the availability of service, spare parts and customer support.
Mr. Ansari said the company’s objective is not only to introduce electric two-wheelers, but to build a sustainable and locally supported EV ecosystem in Pakistan, backed by Millat’s manufacturing experience and nationwide service infrastructure.
Millat’s automotive experience extends beyond tractors and agricultural implements. The group has also partnered with Hyundai Nishat in the assembly and manufacturing of Hyundai vehicles in Pakistan, adding to its experience in the country’s broader automotive manufacturing sector.
The EV initiative marks a new chapter for Millat Group as it brings its established manufacturing expertise, localization capabilities and nationwide aftermarket infrastructure into Pakistan’s growing electric mobility sector.
