Everyone knows that early fall is the best time to buy camping equipment. (And if you didn’t, now you do!) Retailers are now slashing prices on their remaining summer gear to clear their inventories before winter. Case in point: Amazon just put a Coleman tent on sale for its lowest price all year.
Typically $117.99, the navy blue Coleman Sundome 4-Person Camping Tent is only $81.86 right now — a 31% discount. Note that it’s still full price on Coleman’s website.
For reference, the same tent was about $2 more expensive during Amazon’s summer Prime Day sale in June and $1.31 pricier during Prime Big Deal Days 2025, according to the price-tracking site camelcamelcamel. The only time it’s been significantly cheaper than it is now was on Black Friday 2024, when it hit an all-time low of $67.99.
This is one of the best outdoor deals we’ve spotted in the lead-up to Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale on Oct. 6 and 7, aka “October Prime Day.” You do have to be a Prime member to claim it, but trial members count.
Coleman describes this tent as being “ideal for camping in warm weather.” It can fit one queen-sized air mattress, sets up in 10 minutes, and features a ground vent to prevent its interior from getting stuffy. Plus, there’s an E-port on the side in case you’d like to run power inside. (FWIW, we’ve also spotted some very good deals on portable power stations ahead of Prime Big Deal Days.)
