Hub Power Company (PSX: HUBC) reported a loss of Rs. 33 million from its investment in the BYD Pakistan project during the quarter ended June 2026.
The company had previously reported profits from the project in each of the four quarters since March 2025, with earnings varying significantly across the periods.

According to Arif Habib Limited, the latest quarterly loss was mainly attributed to higher marketing and administrative expenses associated with the project.
HUBC has invested a total of Rs. 6.6 billion (~$23 million) in the project as of fiscal year 2026.
The company’s total committed equity for the BYD project stood at $30 million as of FY2026.
