Huawei has added another tablet to its MatePad Air lineup with the launch of the MatePad Air Z.
The new tablet is available in Standard and Enjoy Edition versions. The Standard model comes in Coral Orange, Island Blue, and Space Gray, while the Enjoy Edition is available in Nebula Pink and Moonlight Silver.
Display and Hardware
Both versions are powered by Huawei’s Kirin T93S23 chipset and run HarmonyOS 7.
The MatePad Air Z features a 12-inch Ultra HD Eye-Care PaperMatte display with a 2.8K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 88% screen-to-body ratio.
Huawei says the display is designed to reduce glare while keeping text and images clear in bright environments.
Both models include an 8MP front camera and a 50MP rear camera. However, they use different camera housings.
The Standard model has a circular camera lens inside a pill-shaped module with an LED flash, while the Enjoy Edition uses a simpler oval-shaped camera housing.
Both versions also feature a 10,100mAh battery and a six-speaker stereo system.
The Standard model supports 66W charging and comes with a 66W charger, while the Enjoy Edition ships with a 40W adapter.
Price and Configurations
The Standard MatePad Air Z starts at around $551 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version.
A PaperMatte configuration costs around $640, while the 12GB/256GB PaperMatte model is priced at around $745.
The Enjoy Edition starts at around $447 for the 8GB/128GB version. Its top-end 12GB/256GB PaperMatte model costs around $670.
