VELO’s Make Yourself Heard gives those undiscovered artists a platform to reach beyond their existing circles. Bringing emerging performers into the same conversation as established artists, it welcomes music across languages, genres and cultural styles. Whether someone sings or plays an instrument, the platform gives their sound a chance to be discovered on its own terms.
The Next Chapter of VELO’s Music Journey
Make Yourself Heard builds on an established connection between VELO and Pakistani music. Across three seasons, VELO Sound Station has produced performances and remakes featuring veteran and new artists. This campaign extends that journey by inviting eligible performers outside its established lineup to share their talent for a chance to be considered for the platform.
This initiative has been a popular topic of conversation in the music community. Established artists have shared their perspectives on discovering talent and the difficulty of reaching an audience. The entries give that conversation a focus: performances by singers and instrumentalists whose names audiences may not know yet.
A Visual History of Pakistani Music
Make Yourself Heard also draws on the music that preceded today’s emerging artists. They have introduced Six Limited-Edition Can designs which reference different eras of Pakistan’s musical history, from early pop and folk influences to disco-pop, pop-rock, hip-hop and contemporary independent music.
The cans serve as visual tributes to those styles, while the submitted performances give audiences new music to discover. For eligible singers and instrumentalists, the invitation is simple: share an original performance and give your sound the chance to reach a wider audience.
