The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced a major increase in the monthly salaries of university faculty members working under the Tenure Track System (TTS) across Pakistan.
Under the revised policy, professors will receive a minimum monthly salary of Rs. 402,000, while the maximum salary has been fixed at Rs. 712,000.
Associate professors will receive between Rs. 370,000 and Rs. 625,000 per month, while assistant professors will be paid between Rs. 288,000 and Rs. 553,000.
The revised salary structure will take effect from July 1, meaning the increase will also apply to salaries payable from that date.
According to HEC, the respective universities will be responsible for paying the revised salaries to faculty members from their own resources.
