Google teased the Pixel Glow feature for its upcoming Pixel 11 series earlier this month, but now we get to have a better look at it thanks to a new official teaser.
The short video shows the Pixel 11 Pro with a three-camera setup. Next to the lenses is a circular indicator displaying spinning colors, but Google has not explained what it does.
The video mentions how people use their phones for Google services including Gmail, Maps, Search, Calendar and Gemini. Its title refers to “the next obvious move,” but does not explain what that means.
The colorful circular indicator resembles the spinning rainbow icon seen on Macs, which could suggest it provides a visual cue when the phone is processing something. However, Google has not confirmed this.
Previous rumors have suggested Google could introduce color-coded notifications inspired by Nothing’s Glyph interface. Another possibility is that the feature could be connected to Gemini or Google’s growing work in mixed reality, though both remain speculation.
Pixel 11 Pro Expected Specs
Rumors suggest the Pixel 11 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch display with peak brightness reaching 3,600 nits and run on Google’s upcoming Tensor G6 chipset.
Leaked retail listings have also pointed to several color options, including pink-beige, forest green and gray-lavender finishes. Other leaks have referred to these colors as Dune, Pine and Sterling.
It remains unclear what camera upgrades Google plans for the Pixel 11 Pro.
The Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5 could also cost more than their predecessors as rising demand for AI infrastructure puts pressure on memory, storage and chip prices.
Google is expected to reveal the full details, including the purpose of the new camera bar feature, during its August 12 event.
