Government College University (GCU) Lahore has opened Phase-II admissions for Fall 2026 across a wide range of BS, MS/MPhil, and diploma programs, with a 60% scholarship available for students admitted to selected BS programs.
Admissions are available at both the Main Campus on Katchery Road, Lahore, and the New Campus at Kala Shah Kaku (KSK). According to the university’s official admission advertisement, the last date to apply is August 19, 2026.
At the Main Campus, GCU is offering BS admissions in several disciplines, including Biotechnology, Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Electronics, Entrepreneurship, Environmental Science, International Relations, Microbiology, Media & Communication, Molecular Biology, Public Administration, Political Science, Physics, Zoology, and Gender & Climate Change.
The Kala Shah Kaku Campus is offering programs including ADP Computer Science, BFA Graphic Design, BFA Visual Arts, BFA Film & Digital Arts, Disaster Management, Geography, Mathematics, and Remote Sensing & GIS. All programs advertised at the KSK Campus are offered in the morning.
60% Scholarship for Selected BS Programs
GCU has announced a 60% scholarship for all students admitted to selected BS programs.
At the Main Campus, the scholarship applies to B.Ed., Library & Information Science, Punjabi, Persian, Philosophy, Translation Studies, Turkish Language & Literature, and Urdu.
At the Kala Shah Kaku Campus, eligible programs include Agriculture, Archive Studies, Art History, B.Ed., Global Studies, History, Islamic Studies, and Physical Education.
MS/MPhil and Diploma Programs
MS/MPhil admissions are available in programs including Applied Physics, Archive Studies, Art History, Botany, Disaster Management, Executive MBA, Economics, Electronics, Entrepreneurship & SME Management, Fresh Water Biology, Fisheries & Aquaculture, Geography, History, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Philosophy, Persian, Punjabi, Sociology, Statistics, Urdu, and Zoology.
GCU is also offering one-year weekend diplomas in Banking Law, Income Tax Law, and Criminology, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science.
Entry Test and GCU-GAT
Admissions to BS programs will generally be based on Intermediate Part-I or equivalent marks, and no entrance test will be required for most BS programs.
However, candidates applying for BFA disciplines must appear in the relevant entrance test. Applicants for BS Physical Education must appear in a Physical Efficiency Test on August 22, 2026, at the Main Campus.
How to Apply for GCU Lahore Admissions
Applications must be submitted online through the GCU Online Admission Portal.
The application processing fee is Rs. 1,000 for BS and diploma programs and Rs. 1,500 for MS/MPhil programs. A single admission application will be valid for both morning and evening sessions of the same program where applicable.
According to the official advertisement, the fee can be deposited at any UBL branch across Pakistan. Payments through UBL Omni or other online payment methods will not be accepted.
Roll number slips will become available through the admission portal after the closing date.
