The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is working to introduce new housing schemes for allottees currently on its waiting list, according to a press release issued after the authority’s 52nd Executive Board meeting.
The meeting was held at the Ministry of Housing and Works and chaired by Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada. The board reviewed ongoing housing projects, recent developments and the authority’s future plans.
The federal minister said work was underway to introduce new housing schemes for people currently on the waiting list so they could be provided residential facilities. He also directed the authorities to expedite pending housing projects and ensure their practical implementation and completion.
The meeting also reviewed the process of providing possession to existing FGEHA allottees. The minister directed that allottees who had already been allotted plots should receive possession at the earliest possible stage, subject to progress on the required development work.
The minister said FGEHA’s ongoing projects, including Sector F-14/F-15 and the Margalla Orchard joint venture with DHA, were progressing. The meeting reaffirmed the Ministry of Housing and Works and FGEHA’s commitment to completing ongoing projects, introducing new schemes and providing facilities to allottees within the shortest possible time.
