The Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment has launched its Complaint Management System, mobile application and new website at a ceremony in Islamabad, marking a major step toward digitalisation and easier access to justice.
Federal Law and Justice Minister Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar attended the event as chief guest, while Federal IT and Telecommunication Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja and National Information Technology Board CEO Faisal Iqbal Ratyal also contributed to the initiative.
Federal Ombudsman Fozia Waqar said the new system will allow complainants to create accounts using their CNIC, email address and mobile number and file and track multiple complaints through a single account.
She said notices, updates and relevant documents will now be available online, reducing the need for repeated office visits and postal communication. She added that verified registration will also help reduce false and frivolous complaints.
Fozia Waqar said the Complaint Management System will strengthen case monitoring and make it easier to identify delays in the complaint process.
She said FOSPAH aims to reduce paperwork by 70 to 80 percent, with the long-term goal of becoming fully paperless.
The new website will also provide easy access to laws, procedures, rights, decisions and relevant statistics.
She added that the next phase will include artificial intelligence and data analytics support, including help in preparing applications and building a searchable database of decisions.
Fozia Waqar thanked the National Information Technology Board team, FOSPAH’s IT team and all officials involved in the project.
Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar praised the initiative and said it was an important step toward modernising public service delivery and improving access to justice.
FOSPAH presented appreciation certificates to members of the NITB team. The ombudsman also presented a commemorative shield and the institution’s annual report to the law minister.
The office said it remains committed to making support against workplace harassment more accessible and ensuring that complainants can seek justice through a faster, more transparent and digitally enabled system.
