The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has announced 265 principal and teacher jobs at Daanish Schools in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Daanish Schools Authority is hiring five principals and 260 teachers for schools in Bagh, Bhimber, Ghanche, Sultanabad, and Astore.
Candidates from across Pakistan, including AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, can apply on open merit. Applications must be submitted online through the Higher Education Commission’s Education Testing Council (ETC).
Daanish Schools Jobs and Locations
The ministry will appoint one principal at each of the five Daanish Schools.
It has also announced four teaching positions per subject at each school. These include two male and two female posts for every subject.
The available teaching positions are:
- Mathematics Teacher
- English Teacher
- Urdu Teacher
- Chemistry Teacher
- Physics Teacher
- Biology Teacher
- Islamiyat Teacher
- Social Studies Teacher
- General Science Teacher
- Computer Science Teacher
- Fine Arts Teacher
- Geography Teacher
- Montessori or General Teacher
Each subject has 20 positions across the five schools, taking the total number of teaching vacancies to 260.
Salary Packages and Contracts
Principals will receive a BS-20 equivalent pay package with one additional basic salary per month.
Their initial contract will run for two years. It may be extended for another two years based on satisfactory performance.
Teachers will be appointed at DS-16 with one additional basic salary. Their contracts will initially run for three years and may be extended based on performance.
Eligibility for Principal Jobs
Applicants for principal positions must have at least 16 years of education. They should hold a master’s degree with a minimum second division from an HEC-recognized institution.
Candidates must also have at least 17 years of experience as a principal or senior faculty member, preferably at a reputable institution.
The ministry is looking for applicants with leadership, management, and school administration experience. Candidates should understand curriculum development, teacher recruitment, and the overall management of a modern school.
Good English communication skills are also required. The maximum age limit for principal positions is 63 years.
Eligibility for Daanish Schools Teaching Jobs
Teacher applicants must generally have 16 years of education in the relevant subject from an HEC-recognized institution.
Candidates must hold at least a second division. Where the institution uses a CGPA system, applicants need a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 or 3.50 out of 5.00.
An M.Ed. or B.Ed. qualification will provide an advantage for the relevant teaching posts. Applicants must also have good English communication skills.
The maximum age limit for all teaching positions is 50 years.
Candidates applying for the Montessori or General Teacher posts will receive an advantage if they hold a Montessori training diploma or certificate.
How to Apply for Daanish Schools Jobs
Interested candidates must apply through the HEC Education Testing Council portal.
Applicants should register on the portal and complete their personal, educational and contact details carefully. They must select the relevant position and submit the application before 4:00 PM on the closing date shown on the portal.
Only applications with a Submitted status will be considered. Forms saved as incomplete will not be accepted.
The ministry will not accept applications sent by hand, courier or email. No hard copy is required unless the ETC or HEC specifically asks for one.
Application Deadline
Candidates must submit their online applications within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication.
Applicants should regularly check the ETC, HEC, Federal Education Ministry and Daanish Schools Authority websites for roll-number slips, test schedules, results and interview notices.
Only shortlisted eligible candidates will be called for a test or interview. No travel or daily allowance will be provided.
Government, semi-government and autonomous body employees must apply through the proper channel and provide a no-objection certificate when required.
Candidates must bring their original CNIC or passport and the roll-number slip issued by ETC on the test day.
