The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department has clarified that a notification circulating on social media regarding the closure of educational institutions on Fridays and Saturdays is fake.
The department shared the clarification after the document appeared on social media, creating confusion among students, parents and teachers about a possible change in the weekly school schedule.
The fake notification claims that all public and private educational institutions under the Elementary and Secondary Education Department would remain closed on Fridays and Saturdays for two months due to fuel conservation measures.
The document also claims that school heads could continue home schooling and online teaching where possible.
The Elementary and Secondary Education Department has rejected the circulating document and advised all concerned to disregard the fake notification.
