Edifier has announced the W800NB, a new pair of wireless over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation, LDAC support, and up to 118 hours of battery life.
The headphones are currently available for reservation through e-commerce platforms including JD.com, with an introductory price of $43.
Audio and Noise Cancellation
The Edifier W800NB uses 40mm dynamic drivers with silver-plated diaphragms.
It supports Hi-Res Audio Wireless and LDAC, provided the connected smartphone or computer also supports the codec. A spatial audio mode is also available for a wider virtual sound field.
The headphones offer up to 50dB of active noise cancellation, which Edifier says is a 14% improvement over the previous generation.
Five noise-control modes are available, including ANC, Transparency and Wind Noise Reduction.
Design and Comfort
The W800NB weighs 250 grams and uses memory protein leather earcups with slow-rebound foam.
Edifier has also introduced a four-axis floating structure for the headband and earcups, allowing them to adjust more naturally to the user’s head.
The headphones use a foldable design for easier storage and travel.
Calls and AI Features
The W800NB includes three microphones with AI noise reduction to improve voice clarity during calls in noisy environments.
The headphones also support voice-assistant controls and real-time translation.
Battery and Connectivity
Battery life reaches up to 118 hours with ANC disabled and around 60 to 70 hours with ANC enabled.
A 15-minute charge provides approximately 18 hours of playback.
Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.0, dual-device pairing, wired audio support, and a low-latency gaming mode.
Additional Features
Users can customize the W800NB through Edifier’s app, including EQ settings and button controls.
The app also supports firmware updates, child mode, voice-prompt language selection, and a headphone-finding feature.
