ECC Allows Donkey Exports from Gwadar Under Strict Conditions

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the federal cabinet has approved the export of donkey meat and hides from the Gwadar Free Zone, subject to safeguards recommended by the Ministry of National Food Security and Research.

The decision was taken after the ECC reviewed recommendations from a committee formed to address issues related to the proposed exports.

ECC also approved continued gas supply to FatimaFert and Agritech until September 30, 2026, under the existing arrangement.

Separately, the committee approved Rs. 5 billion in seed money for the Daanish Schools Authority Fund through a technical supplementary grant, with the amount to be kept under an endowment framework.

The ECC also reviewed progress on the Pakistan Skills Impact Bond and set September 30, 2026, as the deadline for the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training to submit substantive progress on the initiative.
