Erasmus Mundus NOHA Scholarship 2027

The NOHA program combines academic study with practical and professional training in humanitarian action.

Students study topics such as world politics, legal aspects of humanitarian action, people and culture, management, public health, research methods, and humanitarian practice.

The program is delivered through a consortium of eight European universities. University College Dublin in Ireland is one of the participating institutions.

Students may complete a regional training pathway or work placement during the third semester. The fourth semester focuses on research and the Master’s thesis.

Scholarship Benefits

The Erasmus Mundus scholarship provides €1,400 per month for the full duration of the Master’s program, up to a maximum of 24 months.

The funding contributes towards living expenses, travel, visa costs, installation expenses, and other study-related costs.

Tuition fees are also covered for scholarship holders. For the 2027–2029 intake, 16 scholarships are available.

Four are allocated to candidates from Program Countries, eight to Partner Countries, and four to applicants from specified regions.

Under the scholarship rules, no more than 10% of the total awards can go to candidates of the same nationality.

Who Can Apply

Applicants need a relevant Bachelor’s degree equal to at least 180 ECTS credits. Candidates should have an academic background suitable for study in international humanitarian action.

They must also meet the language requirements of the universities they select. Pakistani students are included among the eligible international applicants.

The Erasmus Mundus scholarship is available only to students who enrol in the program on a full-time basis.

Language Requirements

Candidates must meet the language requirements of their selected universities. The required language level can vary depending on the study destination and language of instruction.

Applicants should therefore check the requirements for both their preferred home university and host university before completing the application.

Documents Required

Applicants need to submit academic and personal documents as part of the online application. These include degree certificates, academic transcripts, a CV, and language proficiency evidence where required.

Candidates must also provide two recommendation letters and a motivation statement or essay as required by the application process. Students applying for Erasmus Mundus funding must also submit proof of residence.

Study and Mobility Requirements

International mobility is an important part of the NOHA Master’s program. Students must study in different countries during the two-year degree and complete physical mobility periods in at least two locations.

This allows students to gain experience in different academic and humanitarian settings while completing the same joint Master’s program.

How to Apply

Candidates must complete the NOHA online application and provide all required academic, personal, and supporting information.

Applicants should select their preferred universities and upload their degree documents, transcripts, CV, language evidence, recommendation letters, and other required material.

Students seeking Erasmus Mundus funding must make sure they apply under the scholarship category rather than the self-funded route.

Applicants should review all uploaded documents carefully before submitting the final application.
