Denmark will launch a new employer-led immigration route on January 1, 2027, allowing eligible companies to hire foreign nationals from 16 selected countries under the Collective Agreement-Based Business Scheme.
The scheme will cover nationals from Albania, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Singapore, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States.
To use the route, Danish employers must be covered by a relevant collective agreement, have operated for at least two years and employ at least 10 full-time workers in Denmark.
Employers must also register with the Danish immigration authority and obtain certification confirming their eligibility.
The new scheme will set a minimum annual salary of DKK 322,000 for foreign workers, a level lower than several other common salary thresholds in Denmark.
Officials say the pathway will create new opportunities for companies seeking overseas talent, but strict eligibility rules mean only qualifying employers will be able to use it.
