Punjab has made cross-invigilation and cross-marking mandatory during the first-term school-based assessment.
PECTA has issued new instructions for schools for the first term. According to the guidelines, the subject teacher will not serve as an invigilator in the paper for that subject.
PECTA has also directed schools to ensure cross-invigilation during examinations. Teachers have been barred from checking the answer sheets of students they teach.
Cross-marking has been made compulsory in the first-term school-based assessment, and teachers will not be allowed to mark the papers of their own students.
Strict instructions have been issued to ensure transparency, fairness and merit in the examination process. The School Education Department said the newly issued instructions for the first term will be implemented in full.
