Cocaine Queen Pinky Seeks Relief in Yet Another Drug Case

Drug dealer Anmol alias Pinky has approached the Karachi Sessions Court seeking acquittal in a narcotics case registered against her at the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police station.

Anmol filed the application under Section 265-K of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), arguing that there was insufficient evidence to convict her.

The court issued notices to the Deputy Public Prosecutor and asked the state prosecutor to respond at the next hearing.

During the hearing, defense counsel Mir Hidayatullah argued that no substantial evidence had been presented against his client. He also informed the court that Anmol had previously been acquitted in three drug-related cases registered at Gizri Police Station.

Meanwhile, two alleged facilitators of Anmol have reportedly absconded after securing bail in the CTD case.

In August, the Additional District and Sessions Court (South) acquitted Anmol in three cases registered in 2020, 2021, and 2022, despite her having been declared a fugitive in all three.

Her lawyer argued that Anmol had been implicated based on statements allegedly recorded by two co-accused, Ali and Fahmida, who were acquitted in 2024.

The defense maintained that the prosecution could not secure a conviction against Anmol after the acquittal of her co-accused.

The court subsequently acquitted her in all three cases after observing that the prosecution had failed to present sufficient evidence.
