CMF has launched the Buds Neo, a new pair of affordable wireless earbuds focused on everyday listening, active noise cancellation, long battery life, and customizable audio features.
The earbuds also work with the Nothing X app, which allows users to adjust sound profiles and touch controls.
Audio and Noise Cancellation
The CMF Buds Neo feature 12.4mm dynamic drivers with titanium-coated PET domes and PEEK + PU surrounds.
They support static spatial audio for a wider soundstage and include six EQ presets, including Pop, Rock, Electronic, Classical, and Enhance Vocals.
Users can also create their own EQ profile through the Nothing X app. Bass Enhancement offers two additional levels for users who want stronger low-frequency output.
For noise reduction, the earbuds support up to 35dB of Active Noise Cancellation across three levels. Adaptive ANC can automatically adjust the level depending on the surrounding environment.
For calls, the Buds Neo use four HD microphones, with two on each earbud. These work with Clear Voice Technology to improve voice clarity in different environments.
Design and Connectivity
The earbuds come with a square charging case featuring a tactile circular dial and a dual-tone design. The case also includes a built-in lanyard hole, allowing users to attach it to a strap. The CMF Buds Neo are available in Black, White, and Dark Blue.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth 6.0, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, and dual-device connectivity. The Buds Neo also offer a 120ms low-latency gaming mode.
Users can customize touch controls through the Nothing X app. The earbuds support Android 6.0 and later as well as iOS 13 and later.
Battery and Price
The CMF Buds Neo offer up to 52 hours of total playback with ANC turned off, including the charging case.
Each earbud can provide up to 11 hours of playback on a single charge. With ANC enabled, total battery life drops to 30 hours.
A 10-minute charge can provide up to 5.5 hours of playback.
Each earbud contains a 45mAh battery, while the charging case packs a 460mAh battery.
They carry an exclusive launch price of around $21. Sales will begin on August 26.
