Captain (Retd) Sardar Muhammad Shehryar Khan has assumed charge as SSP Security/Administration of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, as the force continues to reshape its senior command structure, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.
Soon after taking charge, Shehryar Khan met SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza to discuss security arrangements, public safety and patrolling across the federal capital.
The officers reviewed measures to strengthen security and improve coordination between operational and security units. They also discussed effective field deployment to ensure better protection for citizens.
The meeting is part of a series of recent changes in Islamabad Police’s senior command. A day earlier, Shehzada Umar Abbas had assumed charge as SSP Safe City Operations.
Authorities expect the latest appointments to improve coordination between the Security, Operations and Safe City formations, combining field policing with technology-based monitoring.
