Canada Warns Pakistanis Against Visa and eTA Scams

The High Commission of Canada to Pakistan has warned people against immigration fraud, cautioning that no individual or organization can guarantee approval of a Canadian visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).

In a public advisory, the high commission said scammers may contact people through email, phone calls or text messages, claiming they can secure Canadian visas or eTAs.

It stressed that such claims are fraudulent and urged people to remain cautious when dealing with individuals offering guaranteed immigration approvals.

The high commission also directed people to the Canadian government’s official website for guidance on protecting themselves from immigration fraud and scams.

It encouraged applicants to learn how to identify fraudulent offers and avoid falling victim to individuals who exploit people’s interest in travelling to Canada.
