Border Health Services Pakistan has clarified that the vaccination certificate requirement currently applies only to passengers traveling from Karachi to Saudi Arabia for Umrah.
Passengers traveling from Karachi to countries other than Saudi Arabia, or those departing for any destination from other airports in Pakistan, do not currently need a vaccination certificate under this requirement.
The agency said the vaccination requirement comes from the Ministry of National Health Services and Border Health Services, while NADRA’s role is limited to registering vaccinations and issuing certificates.
For Umrah and Hajj passengers departing from Karachi, the process requires registration and biometric verification through the Pak ID app or a nearby e-Sahulat franchise, followed by payment of the prescribed fee.
After completing registration, passengers must receive the required vaccinations at the designated counter at Karachi airport. Once the vaccination record enters the online system, passengers can download their vaccination certificate from nims.nadra.gov.pk. Passengers should complete registration, biometric verification and fee payment before reaching the airport to avoid delays.
