According to the official gazette, 257,318 candidates applied for the examination, while 249,352 appeared in the papers. Of these, 115,966 candidates passed, placing the overall pass percentage at 46.51%.
BISE Gujranwala conducted the Class 9 written examinations from April 17 to May 8, 2026. The result covers regular and private candidates from Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal and Sialkot districts.

Science Group Result
A total of 169,137 candidates appeared in the Science Group. Of these, 91,805 passed, producing a pass percentage of 54.28%.
Among regular candidates, 127,855 appeared and 74,789 passed. Their pass percentage stood at 58.50%.
Regular female candidates achieved a pass rate of 69.22%, while the pass percentage for regular male candidates was 46.79%.
The Science Group also included 41,282 private candidates. A total of 17,016 passed, placing the private candidates’ pass rate at 41.22%.
General Group Result
The General or Humanities Group recorded 72,244 candidates. Of these, 20,839 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 28.85%.
Among regular candidates, 47,287 appeared and 15,095 passed. Their overall pass percentage was 31.92%.
The pass rate for regular female candidates stood at 36.29%, compared with 19.28% for regular male candidates.
Meanwhile, 24,957 private candidates appeared in the General Group, and 5,744 passed. The pass percentage for this category was 23.02%.
