Asus’ New ProArt Laptops Can Run 120B Parameter AI Locally

Asus has launched the ProArt P16 and ProArt P14 laptops after first announcing them at Computex 2026.

Both machines use Nvidia’s new RTX Spark platform, which combines an Arm-based Grace CPU with a Blackwell RTX GPU and is designed to run demanding AI workloads directly on the device.

Up to 128GB Unified Memory

The RTX Spark platform supports up to 128GB of unified memory, allowing the CPU and GPU to access the same memory pool.

The Grace CPU offers up to 20 cores, while the Blackwell GPU includes up to 6,144 CUDA cores.

Asus says the platform can deliver up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance and run large language models with as many as 120 billion parameters and a 1-million-token context window locally.

The system is also designed for workloads such as complex 3D rendering, 12K video editing, and generative AI without relying on cloud processing.

OLED Displays and Portable Designs

The 16-inch ProArt P16 measures 12.9mm thick and weighs 1.77kg, while the 14-inch ProArt P14 is 13.9mm thick and weighs 1.48kg.

Both laptops use Asus Lumina Pro OLED displays with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and up to 1,600 nits of peak HDR brightness.

The P16 gets a 4K display with NVIDIA G-Sync, while the P14 uses a 3K panel.

Both also feature anti-reflection coatings, Wi-Fi 7, USB4, and large batteries.

Built-In AI Tools

Asus is bundling several software tools designed to use the laptops’ local AI hardware.

MuseTree supports local image generation using FLUX and WAN models, while StoryCube provides AI-powered media organization.

Asus has also partnered with Nous Research to integrate Hermes Agent, an open-source autonomous AI system capable of performing tasks across local applications and files.

Both laptops also support ComfyUI, the node-based interface commonly used for visual AI workflows.
