Apple announced its latest rugged wearable, the Apple Watch Ultra 4, during its “Surprise and Shine” iPhone event on Wednesday. It’s joined by the new flagship Apple Watch Series 12, some new AirPods, and the new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 will cost the same as its predecessor, last year’s Apple Watch Ultra 3. It also has the same design, but faster performance and new health and fitness features. Here’s a quick rundown of its upgrades.

The Apple Watch Ultra 4 is the latest iteration of Apple’s biggest, most durable, and most expensive smartwatch. It comes equipped with the following new features:

Longer battery life
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 will support Apple’s newly revamped Health app, which has a Readiness fitness score, a Longevity metric, and more frequent and accurate heart-rate measurements. It will also have a new Audio Intelligence feature with sound recognition and a “Live Rewind” tool that transcribes conversations using Siri AI. Both are coming later this year.
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 starts at $799 and comes in three colorways:
