Malaysia Airlines may soon begin operating flights to Karachi, potentially improving air connectivity between Pakistan and Malaysia.
The possibility was discussed during a meeting between Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi and newly appointed Malaysian Consul General Muhammad Younis Ibrahim at Governor House on Saturday.
The two sides discussed ways to strengthen trade, investment, tourism and people-to-people ties between the two countries, including greater exchanges of business and trade delegations.
The Malaysian consul general said Malaysia Airlines may soon start flights to Karachi, which could make travel easier for businesspeople and tourists while strengthening people-to-people links.
Ibrahim said promoting economic diplomacy was among his key priorities and highlighted potential cooperation in technology, electric vehicles and solar energy.
Governor Hashmi said Pakistan had several tourist destinations that could attract Malaysian visitors. He also highlighted opportunities to expand cooperation in the surgical instruments sector, where Pakistani products have strong international demand.
