The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has facilitated the resolution of a dual-taxation issue involving Allied Materials, the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Two joint meetings were held on May 19 and June 16, 2026, with representatives of Allied Materials, the SRB and the FBR at the relevant senior levels. The coordinated engagement, supported by the SIFC secretary, brought the stakeholders together and paved the way for a mutually acceptable settlement of the taxation issue.
Syed Feisal Ali, director of Allied Materials, appreciated SIFC’s intervention.
He acknowledged SIFC’s role as a moderator between businesses and government departments.
