Airlines May Raise Fares as Jet Fuel Prices Surge

Airlines in Pakistan have hinted at raising ticket fares after a sharp increase in jet fuel prices, according to ARY News citing sources.

Jet fuel prices have risen by Rs9.5 per litre over the past three days to Rs355.52 per litre.

Aviation sources said the increase, recorded since October 1, has significantly raised airlines’ operating costs.

As a result, airlines are now considering increasing passenger fares to offset the higher expenses.
