Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced new assignment submission rules for students enrolled in its Associate Degree in Arts and Commerce and BA Open Courses programs, effective from the Autumn 2026 semester.
According to an official notification issued by the university, all new and continuing students in these programs must submit their assignments online through the AIOU Aaghi Learning Management System (LMS).
The university has directed students to upload their assignments in PDF format through the official portal at https://aaghi.aiou.edu.pk.
Students can either write their assignments by hand or type them before converting them into PDF files for online submission.
AIOU will no longer accept assignments by registered post. This rule applies to Associate Degree (Old BA/B.Com) and BA Open Courses students.
The university has also prohibited students from submitting assignments directly to their tutors in person.
AIOU has instructed all affected students to use the Aaghi LMS portal for assignment submission starting from the Autumn 2026 semester.
