Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp increase on Wednesday after a sudden spike in international prices.
The per tola rate increased by Rs. 10,000 to reach Rs. 437,936, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs. 8,573, reaching Rs. 375,459.
On Tuesday, gold had declined by Rs. 500 to Rs. 427,936 per tola.
In the international market, gold prices shot up by $100 to $4,155 per ounce.
Silver prices also posted a big increase, rising by Rs. 273 to reach Rs. 6,624 per tola on Wednesday.
