Punjab to Rationalize Teachers at 2,682 Outsourced Schools

The Punjab School Education Department has decided to rationalize teachers working at 2,682 government schools outsourced under Phase Three.

Teachers at these schools will be declared surplus in stages after the outsourcing agreements are finalized. The department has directed officials to complete the rationalization process by August 5.

A new transfer round is expected to open on August 10. Teachers declared surplus will be able to apply for transfers and select schools according to their preferences.

The process will allow the department to adjust teaching staff following the transfer of management of the schools under the outsourcing program.
