Islamabad Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions on Lehtrar Road near Khanna Pul from October 31, 2026, due to ongoing construction work.
The diversions will remain in place until further orders. The traffic police has advised commuters to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience and delays.
According to the traffic diversion plan, traffic travelling from Tramri Chowk, Lehtrar Road, and Alipur should use Faizabad, Rawal Dam Chowk, and Park Road as alternative routes.
Similarly, motorists travelling from Khanna Pul towards the Express Highway should use Ghauri Town and Link Road.
Islamabad Traffic Police has also urged citizens to leave for their destinations 20 to 25 minutes earlier than usual to accommodate possible delays.
Traffic police officers will remain deployed to facilitate commuters and manage traffic flow during the construction work.
Furthermore, the department will issue additional traffic updates and provide guidance to citizens through ITP FM 92.4.
The traffic police has requested motorists to follow the diversion plan and cooperate with traffic officials to ensure smooth traffic movement in the affected areas.
