Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Launches AI Training Plan for Everyone

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) has unveiled a two-year AI Innovation Hub project that aims to train 1,500 government school teachers and 1,000 government officers as part of the province’s digital transformation strategy.

Under the initiative, teachers will receive training in digital and artificial intelligence literacy, while government executives will be equipped with AI leadership skills to support data-driven policymaking and improve decision-making across public sector departments.

The project also includes the establishment of a School of AI, where more than 2,000 students and public servants will receive practical AI education and hands-on training to prepare a skilled workforce for an AI-driven economy.

As part of the broader initiative, KPITB plans to develop an AI governance policy, ethical AI guidelines, and AI impact assessment frameworks to support the responsible deployment of artificial intelligence across more than 50 government departments.

According to the project brief, the AI Innovation Hub will bring together government institutions, universities, startups, and the private sector to strengthen AI infrastructure, improve public services, and build a sustainable digital ecosystem in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while supporting Pakistan’s National AI Policy.
