NCCIA Arrests Father for Selling Explicit Videos of His Own Kids on Telegram
A father has been arrested for allegedly making explicit videos of his own young children and selling them online for money, according to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Geo News has reported.
NCCIA Islamabad Additional Director Shoaib Khan shared the details at a press conference in Islamabad. He said this is the first case in Pakistan’s history in which a father has been found involved in such a crime against his own minor children.
Videos Sold Through Secret Telegram Groups
According to Khan, the children were between four and six years old. The videos were bought and sold in secret Telegram groups, and payments were made in cryptocurrency.
He said a group had formed around circulating and selling such material. Investigators also found videos showing the abuse of animals.
“Nothing of this nature has previously surfaced in Pakistan’s history,” Khan said, as reported by Geo News. He added that the identities of those involved in such cases are not disclosed.
Ringleader Arrested With International Help
The NCCIA official said the ringleader of the network belongs to Skardu. He was arrested with the help of international agencies.
During the investigation, important links and evidence were recovered from Islamabad, Multan, and South Punjab. Raids are under way to arrest other facilitators of the network.
“Those involved in such heinous crimes will be brought to justice,” Khan said.
Other Cases Shared by NCCIA
Khan also shared details of a separate case in which the agency arrested four members of a child pornography gang. The arrests followed an investigation of around 60 videos recovered from a child’s mobile phone.
He said the suspects befriended children aged six to 14 on Instagram, lured them with money, and made indecent videos. These videos were then sold in WhatsApp groups and abroad.
In another case, a minor girl from Karachi attempted suicide after facing harassment and blackmail for two to three years. She is under treatment in a hospital. Khan said the NCCIA traced and arrested the main suspect from Islamabad within 13 hours.
The NCCIA recently announced plans to use AI to track online crimes against children. Earlier this week, its Karachi team also rescued a 13-year-old girl trapped in a dark web network.
How to Report Cybercrime
Khan urged citizens not to stay silent if they are victims of cybercrime. Complaints can be made on the NCCIA helpline 1799, which is available 24 hours a day.
He also advised people not to share one-time passwords, bank account details, or personal information with anyone.
