Samsung Will Finally Upgrade Batteries With Galaxy S27 Series
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra and Galaxy S27 Pro have appeared in South Korea’s Safety Korea certification database, revealing images of their batteries ahead of their expected launch.
The listings identify the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s battery as EB-BS958DBY and the Galaxy S27 Pro’s as EB-BS957CBY. Both batteries are manufactured by the Chinese company Zhuhai CosMX Power.
Although the battery capacities are not visible in the certification images, earlier leaks and China’s 3C certification have already revealed their expected specifications.
Battery and Charging
According to previous certification details, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature a battery with a rated capacity of 5,534mAh, equivalent to an expected typical capacity of 5,700mAh.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to have a 5,200mAh typical battery capacity, with a rated capacity of 5,087mAh.
Both smartphones have also received certification for 60W wired charging, matching the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Bigger Battery Than Galaxy S26 Ultra
If the leaked capacities are accurate, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will offer a 700mAh or 14% increase over the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 5,000mAh battery.
Even the Galaxy S27 Pro could feature a battery 200mAh larger than the Galaxy S26 Ultra, representing a 4% increase.
Samsung has maintained a 5,000mAh battery capacity across its Ultra flagships for several generations, making the expected upgrade significant.
Previous reports suggested that Samsung tested a Galaxy S27 Ultra prototype with a 7,000mAh battery but ultimately chose a smaller capacity to retain the S Pen.
Expected Launch
Samsung has not officially announced a launch date for the Galaxy S27 series.
However, a recent report suggests that the company could return to its traditional January or February launch schedule.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro are expected to arrive in early 2027, although their final specifications and availability remain unconfirmed.
