Lahore Board Announces Cash Reward for Student Athletes
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has announced plans to increase cash prizes for players, coaches, and managers participating in inter-school and inter-collegiate sports competitions.
The board will distribute Rs. 13.5 million in cash prizes this year, making it the highest-paying educational board in Pakistan for sports competitions.
To ensure transparency, all prize money will be transferred directly to the personal digital accounts of players, coaches, managers, and technical officials.
According to the board, the new payment system aims to strengthen accountability, prevent irregularities, and promote merit in the distribution of cash prizes.
The initiative will be implemented under the supervision of Chairman of the Task Force on Examinations Mazamil Mahmood, Lahore Board Chairman Engineer Dr. Badr-ul-Islam, Secretary Mian Rizwan Nazir, and Director of Sports Dr. Badr Mohiuddin.
