Edifier has launched the We-Bass, a new pair of clip-on open-ear wireless earbuds priced at around $60 in China.
The earbuds combine a flexible ear-wrapping design with 12mm drivers, AI-powered features, Bluetooth 6.1, and up to 20 hours of total battery life.
DeepSeek AI Features
The We-Bass supports both DeepSeek and Doubao AI models for real-time voice assistance.
It also offers translation across 21 languages, including face-to-face and side-by-side translation modes.
For calls, the earbuds use AI-powered noise reduction along with a wind detection algorithm. Edifier says the system can reduce wind interference at speeds of up to 28 km/h.
Design and Durability
The We-Bass uses a flexible nickel-titanium alloy wire that wraps around the outside of the ear.
Edifier says the wire has survived more than 10,000 bending tests while maintaining its original shape.
The earbuds come in Wave White with a combination of matte and metallic finishes.
They also carry an IP55 rating for protection against dust and water. The companion app includes a water-ejection function designed to remove moisture trapped inside the speaker grilles.
Audio
Edifier has equipped the We-Bass with 12mm long-stroke dynamic drivers.
Since open-ear earbuds do not create a seal inside the ear canal, Edifier uses a dynamic bass compensation algorithm to adjust low-frequency output in real time.
The earbuds also use a dedicated acoustic chamber that directs sound toward the ear canal to reduce audio leakage.
Bluetooth 6.1 and Gaming Mode
The earbuds support Bluetooth 6.1 and can connect to two devices at the same time through multipoint connectivity.
A dedicated gaming mode lowers latency to around 50ms.
Battery and Price
The Edifier We-Bass provides up to five hours of playback from the earbuds themselves.
The charging case adds another 15 hours, bringing total battery life to 20 hours.
The We-Bass is currently available in China for 399 yuan, or roughly $60.
