Lenovo has launched the ThinkBook 14x, a lightweight 14-inch Windows laptop aimed at everyday productivity.
The laptop weighs just 990g and measures 12.9mm thick, while using an aluminum chassis and retaining a practical selection of ports.
Pricing starts at approximately $1,125.
Internals and Storage
The ThinkBook 14x is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra Series 2 processors. Buyers can choose between the Core Ultra 5 226V and Core Ultra 7 256V.
Both Lunar Lake chips integrate 16GB of RAM directly into the processor package, which means the memory cannot be upgraded later.
Storage is more flexible. The laptop includes two SSD slots and ships with either 512GB or 1TB of storage, allowing users to add a second drive later.
The system also meets Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC requirements for local AI workloads.
Three Display Configurations
Lenovo offers the ThinkBook 14x in three main configurations.
The base version has a standard LED display and a 54.7Wh battery.
A second configuration adds a touchscreen while keeping the same battery.
The top model uses a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of brightness. It also gets a larger 65Wh battery.
| Feature | Base | Touch | OLED |
|---|---|---|---|
| Display | LED | LED touchscreen | 2.8K OLED |
| Refresh Rate | Not specified | Not specified | 120Hz |
| Brightness | Not specified | Not specified | 500 nits |

Ports and Connectivity
Despite its thin design, the ThinkBook 14x includes:
- Two USB-C ports
- Two USB-A ports
- Full-size HDMI
- Wi-Fi 6E
This allows users to connect monitors and older USB accessories without relying heavily on adapters.
Durability and Other Features
The laptop carries a MIL-STD-810H rating, meaning it has passed standard durability tests involving physical impacts and temperature changes.
It also includes a glass touchpad, a backlit keyboard that adjusts to ambient lighting, and privacy sensors that can blur the screen if someone is standing behind the user.
The ThinkBook 14x runs Windows 11 Pro out of the box.
Pricing and Availability
The Lenovo ThinkBook 14x is available through Lenovo’s website, where buyers can configure the processor, display, and storage before ordering.
Pricing starts at around $1,125.
