The Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for October 8, with diversions planned on major roads at different times due to the movement of foreign delegations.
Police will implement diversions at various locations along Srinagar Highway between the Red Zone and Koral. Motorists traveling on Srinagar Highway can use Suhrawardy Road, the G-8 service road and Ninth Avenue as alternative routes.
Motorists traveling from Zero Point toward Koral should use Ninth Avenue. Citizens traveling from Koral toward Islamabad should use Old Airport Road, Rawal Road, Rawalpindi-Murree Road, IJP Road and Faqir Aipee Road.
In the event of diversions on Koral Expressway, Murree Road or Club Road, motorists can use Lehtrar Road and Park Road as alternative routes. Citizens traveling out of Islamabad can use Jinnah Avenue and Margalla Road. Those traveling from Barakahu toward Islamabad can use Banigala and Park Road.
The Islamabad Traffic Police has warned that the diversions may increase traffic pressure on several roads and advised motorists to allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes for their journeys.
