Garmin Enduro 4 Promises Up to Three Months of Battery Life
Garmin has announced the Enduro 4, upgrading its flagship endurance smartwatch with more memory, additional navigation and training features, while keeping the same $899 launch price as the Enduro 3.
The company also introduced the Approach S72, a new flagship smartwatch designed for golfers.
Battery Life Remains Unchanged
Despite the hardware upgrades, Garmin says battery life remains the same as the previous generation.
The Enduro 4 can provide up to 320 hours of activity tracking with solar charging or up to 90 days in smartwatch mode under suitable sunlight conditions.
Garmin has also added two new battery modes: Max Accuracy and Max Battery.
Max Accuracy prioritizes precise tracking during shorter activities, while Max Battery extends runtime for activities such as ultramarathons.
More RAM and Storage
The Enduro 4 comes with 50% more RAM than its predecessor and doubles the storage to 64GB.
Garmin says the extra memory delivers a smoother interface and makes map panning 30% faster.
A new Perspective View also lets users see farther ahead along their planned route.

Familiar Design With a New Band
The Enduro 4 retains the overall design of the previous model, including its titanium bezel, fiber-reinforced polymer case, LED flashlight, and 10 ATM water resistance.
It is slightly heavier at 68g and continues to use a 51mm chassis.
Garmin has added a new ComfortFit Fabric Band with QuickFit support. The strap uses moisture-wicking fabric.
New Training Features
Grade-adjusted workout targets and rolling pace can now account for hills when measuring effort.
Garmin has also introduced stamina zones and stamina curves, which show how a user’s endurance changes during an individual activity and over longer periods.
Existing sports profiles also receive additional data. Indoor rowing, for example, can now provide VO2 max information.
Garmin Approach S72 Also Announced
Garmin also unveiled the Approach S72, its latest flagship golf smartwatch.
Unlike the Enduro 4, the S72 uses an OLED display and comes in 43mm and 47mm sizes.
It also features a Sapphire lens, titanium bezel, and ComfortFit fabric band.
The watch can track more than basic distance information, including hand speed, backswing length, and wrist rotation.
With a Garmin Golf Membership, users can also access readings on supported courses, post-round analytics, and aerial course imagery to plan shots.
First Garmin Golf Watch With Speaker and Microphone
The Approach S72 is Garmin’s first golf-focused smartwatch with a speaker and microphone.
This allows users to take calls directly from the watch and use voice commands for certain functions.
The 47mm model offers up to 20 hours of battery life while playing golf or up to 15 days without GPS.
The Garmin Enduro 4 goes on sale on October 9 for $899, while the Approach S72 is priced at $799.
