Lahore Gamer Uses PUBG to Rob Bank

A young man allegedly learnt how to steal from PUBG and robbed Rs. 700,000 from a bank near Bhatta Chowk, Lahore, and returned home to play again, local media reported earlier today.

Police said the suspect wore clothes and a mask like a PUBG character while carrying out the robbery. After reaching home, he reportedly changed his car’s number plate and placed the stolen cash on a table before sitting down to play the game again.

The police followed his trail through Safe City cameras. Officers tracked the suspect to his home, where they allegedly found him playing the game again while a pistol, the stolen money and a briefcase were placed next to him.

Police said the suspect has no previous criminal record.

The gamer is allegedly a resident of the United Kingdom and had £1,200 when he returned to Pakistan. He decided to rob a bank after running out of money.

The suspect has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
