Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has claimed that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman has discovered land worth trillions of rupees lost through corruption and coercion.
Speaking at the formal gong ceremony at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on the occasion of the listing of Naya Nazimabad Apartments, Shehbaz said efforts were underway to recover the land in accordance with the law.
“Not billions but trillions of rupees worth of land have been discovered,” the prime minister said. He thanked the NAB chairman and his team for their efforts to bring the assets back.
The PM also praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his role in the recovery efforts.
He described Asim Munir as an important partner in the initiative and said his commitment and efforts had set an example in Pakistan.
The prime minister said Pakistan would emerge as a powerful economy on the global map and expressed hope that the country’s respect and standing in the world would increase significantly.
