Audit Begins for Government Colleges in Lahore
An audit of the financial affairs of government colleges in Lahore Division has begun, and special teams have been formed for the process.
Six audit teams have been assigned to review 60 government colleges in Lahore Tehsil, while two teams will carry out audits in Kasur and one team in Nankana Sahib.
During the audit, complaints of financial irregularities in the colleges and the use of funds will be examined. The teams will also review financial records and assess how the money was spent.
Officials have directed that the audit of government colleges in Lahore Division be completed within one month.
Meanwhile, a fire incident occurred during the audit at Shalimar College, where all records were destroyed.
Following the incident, the Higher Education Department has formed an inquiry committee.
