Trump welcomed Chinese president Xi Jinping to the White House recently, and Jon Stewart is shocked that there weren’t more Republicans outraged by the meeting.
“You know what’s sad? The only Republican with balls to say what a bad idea this summit is, is Donald Trump,” says Stewart, showing old footage of Trump saying “I would not be throwing him a dinner.”
“I’d be throwing him a banquet!” jokes Stewart, bringing up a photo of the two cheerfully shaking hands. “And there’ll be flowers, and there’ll be dancing, and afterwards we’re all gonna go look at the ballroom! There’ll be food, and people dressed up, and we’re gonna talk about granite.”
