The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is set to introduce an e-immigration app to digitize the immigration process and facilitate travelers.
The app will allow passengers to check information about their travel documents and determine their eligibility to travel before reaching the airport. The FIA will also review passengers’ documents through the system.
Passengers facing any inquiry will receive information through the app. Those cleared for travel will receive a QR code, which will allow their data to be accessed through the immigration system when they arrive at the airport.
The app will also facilitate immigration clearance and other necessary procedures. The FIA plans to use the system to obtain passenger information and conduct risk profiling.
According to details, the development of the app has reached its final stages and its introduction will help digitize Pakistan’s immigration process and streamline passenger clearance at airports.
