The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has appointed Brigadier (Retd.) Amir Shehzad as Director General (DG) Enforcement.
PTA Chairman has assigned Amir Shehzad the new role, transferring him from his previous position as DG Licensing.
He will take charge of the Enforcement division with immediate effect.
Amir Shehzad has been tasked with strengthening the enforcement system and improving the quality of telecom services for consumers.
Speaking about his new responsibility, Amir Shehzad said the DG Enforcement role is important and challenging. He added that he would work to meet the expectations of the government, PTA and telecom consumers.
He also said consumer expectations would remain a key consideration in carrying out his new responsibilities.
