The Punjab government has decided to build three new major hospitals in Lahore.
The hospitals will be constructed in LDA City as part of the Nawaz Sharif Medical City project.
The project has been allocated 216 acres of land in LDA City.
The 352-bed Maryam Nawaz Institute of Pediatric Health Sciences will be built at an estimated cost of Rs8 billion.
The project will also establish a 175-bed Nawaz Sharif Institute of Burn, Plastic Surgery and Trauma Centre, with an estimated cost of Rs6.15 billion.
In addition, the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Genetic Blood Diseases will be set up at the same location, with an estimated cost of Rs10 billion.
The responsibility for constructing all three hospitals has been assigned to IDAP.
