Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition Brings World’s First Quadra Light Sensing Tech
Realme has officially launched the Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition, introducing what the company describes as the world’s first quadra light-sensing color-changing technology.
The new model is Realme’s second smartphone developed in partnership with Warner Bros. It follows the Realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Limited Edition.
Design and Display
The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition features a textured brown rear panel decorated with an Argyle pattern inspired by Wizard’s Chess.
Its back also carries the Hogwarts crest, which incorporates Realme’s quadra light-sensing color-changing technology. When exposed to UV light, the crest displays four colors at the same time, representing the four Hogwarts houses.
Other Harry Potter-inspired details include an engraved frame carrying the words “Welcome to Hogwarts,” along with a metal mirror camera decoration inspired by Harry Potter’s owl, Hedwig.
Realme has also customized the phone’s interface with Harry Potter-themed icons, lock screens, wallpapers, and camera filters.
Buyers will receive a special gift box designed to resemble Harry’s Hogwarts trunk. Only 5,000 of these boxes will be available worldwide. The package contains a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a Platform 9¾ train ticket, bookmarks, character postcards, a custom phone case, and a SIM ejector tool.
The phone itself uses the same hardware as the standard Realme 16 Pro, including a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Internals and Software
Like the regular Realme 16 Pro, the Harry Potter Edition is powered by the Dimensity 7300-Max chipset.
It comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The software experience has been customized with Harry Potter-themed interface elements, including icons, lock screens, wallpapers, and camera filters.
Cameras
The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition features the same camera hardware as the standard model, headlined by a 200MP main rear camera.
The Harry Potter customization also extends to the camera software through themed filters.
Battery and Pricing
The smartphone packs a 7,000mAh battery, matching the standard Realme 16 Pro.
Realme has priced the Harry Potter Edition at $658, with sales scheduled to begin tomorrow.
