Pakistan Railways has launched the upgraded Karakoram Express from Lahore, introducing improved travel facilities for passengers.
Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Railways Muhammad Hafeezullah formally launched the upgraded train alongside Lahore Divisional Superintendent Inamullah and other railway officials.
During the launch ceremony, Hafeezullah inspected the train’s various coaches and reviewed the facilities available to passengers. He also assessed the improvements made to the coaches as part of Pakistan Railways’ efforts to enhance the overall travel experience.
Hafeezullah said the railway administration plans to upgrade more passenger trains in phases. He said the initiative aims to provide passengers with safer, more comfortable and higher-quality travel facilities.
The CEO said passenger safety and comfort remain key priorities for Pakistan Railways. He added that the department would continue improving its passenger services through the phased upgrade of additional trains. The launch of the upgraded Karakoram Express marks another step in Pakistan Railways’ efforts to improve facilities across its passenger train network.
