National Foods Profit Nearly Triples
National Foods Limited (PSX: NATF) reported a 195 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated profit after tax to Rs. 5.917 billion for fiscal year 2025-26.
The company’s earnings per share rose to Rs. 11.42 from Rs. 2.33 a year earlier. The company declared a cash dividend of Rs. 5 per share for the fourth quarter, taking its total dividend for FY26 to Rs. 30 per share.
National Foods reported consolidated earnings of Rs. 644 million in the fourth quarter, with earnings per share at Rs. 2.76. Quarterly earnings increased 19 percent year over year but declined 76 percent from the previous quarter.
According to Topline Securities, the company’s FY26 profitability was supported by a 251 percent increase in other income, which reached Rs. 8.06 billion. The increase is being attributed to interest earned on short term investments and proceeds from the sale of the Cash and Carry business.
National Foods’ annual net sales rose 14 percent YoY to Rs. 50.6 billion, while gross profit increased 20 percent to Rs. 19.447 billion. However, fourth quarter gross margins fell to 33 percent from 38 percent a year earlier.
Topline Securities said FY26 earnings included a one-time gain, with recurring earnings calculated at Rs. 25.4 per share compared with reported earnings of Rs. 111.4 per share.
